Medicine Ball Workout #213

I have been doing a workout with my kettle bell during Big Brother for a few weeks. I am kind of disappointed that I am not seeing too many results. My kettle bell weighs 7 pounds.

I was at the gym on Friday morning and saw a women with perfect arms and shoulders. I watched her workout and she was using a medicine ball. I thought if it was working for her, then maybe it would work for me.

I got a 10 pound medicine ball and went to work on Friday.

I started by doing 20 each of:

Basketball shots – Holding the basketball behind me and pulling it forward like I am going to shoot a basket. Just don’t release it.

Ball toss ups – Just holding the ball and tossing it into the air and catching it.

Twists – Holding the ball in front of me and twisting side to side

Ball raises – holding the ball in front of me and lifting and straightening my arms.

I started by doing 3 sets of 20 with each exercise. My arms were exhausted and I could really feel the work.

The woman at the gym was holding the ball and walking as she did the exercises. I may add walking later. Now I just need to get going with the exercises first. I think there are plenty more exercises to add later.

I got up this morning with very sore arms. I think that means it’s working!

This is my first workout with a medicine ball. I hope to see results soon!
