Skirting the Issues #194

I did it! I went back and bought the maxi skirt! Well, actually my husband did! In a recent post I showed you the skirt and jacket that I found when I was shopping. I was concerned about buying it because for one thing I didn’t want to expose my arms and for another I wasn’t sure if a jean jacket was trying to dress too young.

I haven’t worn a maxi skirt in years. I am normally a shorts, jeans, pants kind of girl. I occasionally wear a dress, but everyone has been telling me the maxi skirts are the most comfortable thing you can wear.

You all convinced me that I should just go for it. My husband and I have done a little shopping in the last week or so. He bought me two of the maxi skirts one day and on Wednesday we went to eat at a restaurant near the store that had the one I really liked originally. I told him we should go in and I would show it to him. He wanted me to try it on and he loved it. He bought me the whole outfit. The skirt had been marked down to half price!! So, today I wore one of my skirts for the first time.

I even took a picture with my arms exposed! I am really working on my arms. I am lifting weights when I watch Big Brother. They are still my worst body feature. I am hoping that working on them will help. I may have just let them go too long, but as Satia said, “Judgment be damned!” I will cover them with the jacket sometimes, but if I decide to take the jacket off I will just be happy to have a body that is healthy and a little older.

Quesarito #193

I was really tired on Saturday and just needed time to recuperate from the previous two days. I decided I would go for an easy first.

I have been seeing the ads for the Quesarito at Taco Bell for a little while and thought they looked really good. I guess they are only going to be offered for a limited time. It is supposed to be a cross between a Quesadilla and a Burrito.

I had to go to the store late Saturday evening to pick up some milk and a few items. I hadn’t had dinner so I decided it was time to make a “run for the border.” I ran right over to Taco Bell and got one of the new Quesaritos. It had shredded chicken, rice, and cheese in it. It tasted a little spicy. I really enjoyed the filling. I am just not too crazy about wraps and I usually don’t eat them. You have to eat the whole thing to try something new so I went for it and “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing!”
