A Little Opulent

The Creative CV

Source

As we approach ALO's 1st birthday, I thought I'd reflect on where I was a year ago, as quite a lot has changed for me in that space of time.

The main thing being is that I now do Photography for a living, whereas this time last year I was working in a normal everyday job. I'd been there since finishing University, and for me it was really just a bit of a breather/chance for me to get back on my feet financially.

When I did start looking for a job in Photography, waiting for vacancies seemed like the longest part. As I don't live in London, jobs for people in my field are rather few and far between.

Anyway, more to the point..

During these long months where I was trying to make a start with my career, the CV became my best friend. I spent so much time putting things in, changing the layout & trying different fonts.

As it's your first opportunity to make an impression on a potential employer, you want them to remember you and your CV. Here are some of examples of my favourites, which are not only creative but reader-friendly too!
