Je t'aime Paris pt.6

(Outfit: top & shoes - Asos, jeans & bag - Primark) (Locations: Père Lachaise Cemetery & Promenade plantée)
Still have a back log of posts from Paris and soon Cologne too so let's get this train moving...
It may seem strange to visit a cemetery when on holiday and thinking back now it is actually quite strange. However, I was adamant to go as I wanted to see as much of Paris and explore as much of the city that I have never seen before and of course the cemetery is one those places.
Père Lachaise is the largest cemetery inside Paris and is also the resting place of Oscar Wilde. Upon deciding to visit the cemetery, I read about Oscar Wilde's death and actually spent a good 1 hour on it. His latter life is quite sad and his death was sad, however his name lives on and people's admiration for him is still visible to this day (see photo above and read here)
The cemetery besides being Oscar Wilde's burial place also houses hundreds upon hundreds of tombstones ranging from simple gravestones to phone booth sized graves. It really does feel eerie, old and fascinating.
After Père Lachaise, we headed over to Promenade plantée and got lost to later on find out we actually were on the right place and we just didn't realise that it was such a long park. The amazing thing about the park is that it is built on an obsolete train track so instead of knocking the track down, they built this park that goes on for miles (which I believed we fully walked).
