In a Nutshell… November 2014

I’m back! I hate when I have to take crazy long hiatuses like that, but with everything going on with work and moving and life… I needed the break. Things have settled down a bit now, but Valentine’s Day and Easter are just around the corner so work will be back to unnatural levels of chaos soon (I work in a chocolate factory, remember?). And when work gets crazy the rest of my life is thrown into disarray and I lose all motivation to do anything but eat and sleep. Hopefully I can still find a way to sort of keep up with the blog, maybe just one post a week until summer..?

I guess this is my way of saying “I’m back! But don’t get used to it! Maybe… Idk…”

Anyway, let’s at least get caught up on the past two months, shall we?

Hugo got a new sweater. That’s totally noteworthy, right?

Andrew and I, along with his mom and my brother-in-law, saw Alton Brown Live at Playhouse Square. It was a great show! He told funny stories, sang songs, and had members of the audience help him make ice cream from a fire extinguisher and pizzas in a gigantic Easy Bake Oven. Very entertaining. We even got to take an adventure through a dark alley and climb over a fence to get into our parking garage afterward! So ya know, your typical night in Cleveland.

I started handling the social media accounts for the chocolate factory I work at, Suzin L. Chocolatier and am also helping design and create window displays for our main store. Here’s what we came up with for Christmas:

We made the glitter trees out of cardboard and wrapping paper and put everything else together with things we found around the shop or got at the dollar store. I think we did a pretty good job, don’t you? There’s another window that has little tables displaying some of our specialty items, but I guess I never took a picture of that one. Whoops! I’ll be sure to take one with our Valentine’s display though to share with you guys.

That’s all for now. I’ll post a quick December recap tomorrow, or the next day, or some other time in the near-ish future…
