'You Are My Sunshine' Powder Blush by Dainty Doll Review

I had never heard of Dainty Doll before I received this blusher at Christmas as a present. Then upon further inspection I realised that it was indeed Nicola Robert's (Girls Aloud) cosmetics brand. Now I am not usually one for being crazy for a brand that is attached to a celebrity. Certainly not ones that plaster their faces over their products anyway. But this doesn't. Apart from her name in a small font, the packaging of this product is quite subtle. That is where I began to fall in love with it. Also Nicola Roberts is a woman after my own heart. We are both very pale.

The blush is a soft pink-orange with gold shimmer undertones. This is also supposed to contain Vitamins A & E as well as being rich in antioxidants.
So how does it look on my skin? This is me with make up on but with no blusher. As you can see my face looks quite washed out and no colour on my cheeks what so ever.

Applying the blusher is lovely. My brush picks up the blusher easily and I need only a small amount compared to my Nars 'Orgasm' where I need to swipe a few times to pick up a decent amount.

This blusher gives me a lovely healthy glow that doesn't look orange at all, but does boast a very fine gold shimmer that helps highlight my cheekbones.

You can find this blusher here along with the rest of her cosmetics.
At £16 I think this is more than worth the money, especially where you get a lot more than any Nars Blusher and they are nearly double the price. I cannot wait to try out more of this brand and to keep on using this beautiful blusher. Thank you Nicola Roberts.
