On The Rocks

One of my favourite things to do in summer is throwing on my bikini, grabbing my mask and snorkel, and going for a dip in some natural rock pools. Luckily for me, I’m pretty fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the world and can access one of my current favourite snorkelling spots in just a 20 minute hike. Seriously, so lucky.

As Sydney’s weather turned it on last weekend (it was spectacular!), I was out exploring through the water for a fair bit of it and saw some beautiful sea life. Some creatures I encountered include a few different species of fish (bright orange ones and black and yellow striped ones were the stand out), crabs, sea urchins, starfish, nudibranchs and even an octopus!

I really should’ve taken my GoPro along with me to capture some footage/shots but to be honest, it was really special just being in the moment and admiring the abundance of life in the water.

Needless to say that this summer, I’ll definitely be spending every spare moment I get exploring the underwater world.
