Yves Rocher Rose Centifolia Moisturizing Cream Lipstick Review

Yves Rocher Rose Centifolia lipstick (Rs 900)

A creamy, melting, hydrating, nourishing texture, non-sticky, non-run, to draw a clear outline and plump the surface. Perfect coverage from the first application: a smooth, supple luminous film covering the lips.

True Colour from stick to lips. Intense and satiny, remains beautiful, fresh and brilliantly vibrant for hours. Delicately outlined with silky, satiny colour, the lips are enhanced.

I am in my neutral lipstick love phase and have been buying neutral shades like crazy. There are days when I am in no mood of bright shades and gravitate towards brown-pinks. It’s a safe choice for me since I get most use out of it.

I spotted Yves Rocher at shoppers stop the other day. I have seen this brand at Parcos before, however never bought anything. This time I decided to check what the brand has to offer. So I picked couple of skincare products and a lipstick. It is a French brand and Yves Rocher products are paraben free.

Rose Centifolia is a beautiful brown pink shade which is a perfect my-lips-but-better shade, which is neither too brown nor too pink, just the right shade. I am sure this color would suit a variety of skintones. Its from their moisture line hence the formula is very moisturizing and buttery. Texture is creamy and glides on the lips without tugging or pulling. It has a cream finish which soon settles into a semi-matte finish. However not all the shades from this range have cream finish, some of them were frosty and others had shimmers. So I had a hard time picking a non-shimmery shade for myself.

Formula doesn’t settle into fine lines and keeps lips moisturized throughout the wear. Formula is bit sheer but buildable. It covers lip pigmentation and evens them out. Due to the sheen in the formula it makes lips appear fuller and softer.

Yves Rocher Rose Centifolia lipstick stays on for good 4 hours and settles as a stain after 2-4 hours. I am pretty pleased with its performance and the fact that despite of being a creamy formula it doesn’t disappear after 1-2 hours.

Overall Thoughts

Formula doesn’t have any shimmer so it’s perfect for everyday wear. I am quite happy with the pigmentation, formula & staying power of Yves Rocher Centifolia lipstick and can’t wait to get more shades from this range.
