Modern, Daytime Smokey Eye Tutorial

The first time I laid eyes (and my grabby fingers) onto the Rodial Eye Sculpt, I knew there was going to be a video tutorial with it at some point in the future. I’ll rave more about this little pot of eyeshadow heaven soon, but I wanted to show you this modern, minimalistic “smokey eye” (I guess you could call it that) that I’ve been doing for weeks now.

Makeup trends have become so perfectly imperfect, that makeup artists are literally handing over the products to the runway models to do themselves, or messing up their flawless work right before it hits the catwalk—on purpose. It’s all about that care-free, modern vibe and the best way to achieve it? A sweep of cream eyeshadow, a haphazard smear of eyeliner and a couple coats of mascara.

Mistakes happen. Perfection is overrated. Effortless is chic. I must say… I’m loving this type of makeup trend.
