One NARS Multiple to Rule Them All

The new NARS Eye Opening Act Collection is filled with limited-edition treasures. Excitement for the two beautiful 6-pan eyeshadow palettes and brand new Velvet Shadow Sticks (I’ll be talking about those soon) might overshadow the one other gem in the collection: the NARS Illuminating Multiple in St. Lucia ($39).

Unlike the original Multiple, this one has a new light-reflecting formula that creates more of a “glow” than a shimmer or glitter. The shade, St. Lucia, is a bronzy rose and it’s much more sheer than you may expect. Many of the original Multiples (and especially the Matte Multiples) can be a bit tricky to use because of their intense pigmentation, but this one is sheer, subtle brilliance—you can really see how it sheers out in the swatch photo.

The hue is perfect for a warm, flushed glow on light skin tones and also as a highlight for medium to deep skin tones. It’s also the perfect “multiple” shade, looking fabulous on cheeks, lids and lips—leaving your complexion with a healthy just-back-from-vacation glow.

The texture is also a lot more dry and light. Once on the skin, it felt like… skin. Great color, texture and wearability for all skin tones—St. Lucia gets my vote as the best Multiple in my books.

Fingers crossed NARS has a complete collection of Illuminating Multiples up their sleeves, because this texture is something I want to see more of.

The entire NARS Eye Opening Act collection is available now exclusively at nordstrom.com and will be available later this March at narscosmetics.com.
