Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

A couple of weeks ago, a mysterious parcel arrived at my door which contained Benefit's new Roller Lash mascara. I was sceptical on how it would compare with Benefit's They're Real but ladies and gentlemen, this is a serious contender.

Roller Lash is a plastic mascara with a curved wand to create long, curly lashes. The wand itself features different widths of bristles to capture each individual lash with a formula similar to They're Real. Not too dry, not too wet.

I thought I'd start off with a comparison of the two mascaras. As you can see, They're Real has a much wider wand with thicker bristles and longer length whereas Roller Lash's wand is smaller, thinner with much thinner bristles.

From applying Roller Lash, it's clear to see it's main purpose is lengthening and curling instead of adding volume. I'd say this makes it much more of a daytime mascara and compared to They're Real, I find it feels really lightweight on the lashes too.

It was hard to find a fault with Roller Lash as it's everything I look for in a mascara and I feel it delivers very well. However, my one criticism would be that if you have watery eyes, be prepared for a stinging sensation!

All in all, I've been extremely impressed by Roller Lash. Dare I say I may even prefer it to They're Real?!? If you can still pick it up in the March edition of Elle, get it before it's gone!
