Plumes Precieuses de Chanel Holiday Collection 2014

WOW, let’s take a minute to take all this in…

Ready yet?
Once I saw the new Chanel Holiday collection my chin hit the floor! With the thought of my birthday approaching I thought I would be sneaky and purchase a couple few pieces from the collection.

Camelia de Plumes Highlighting Powder £47
This is without a doubt the star of the show in this collection. A stunning platinum gold with a sophisticated shimmer, perfect for the cheek bones and brow bones. The beautiful compact is embossed with shaped like feathers like a camelia, Coco Chanel’s signature flower. This is definitely a splurge, but one well worth it!

Les 5 Ombres de Chanel Eye Palette in Oiseaux de Nuit £42
When Chanel bring out their limited eye palettes you can bet your money it’s going to be a thing of wonders. A selection of 5 gorgeous velvety shades, icy white/ soft lavender grey/ deep purple grey / black / antique gold. The texture and pigmentation is amazing, they feel buttery and apply effortlessly. I can see me reaching for this palette a lot over the festive season! I love the tones they’ve elected for the palette, you can create a day to evening look.

Chanel Illusion d’ Ombre eyeshadow in Envol £25
A stunning peach shimmer for the eyes, the consultant said you can use this as a base over the eyes or gently press over the top of your eye lids to create a beautiful shimmer. I can see me using this a lot in the Spring/Summer months.

Eyeliner Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Or Blanc £19
This next product jumped at me, I don’t own anything like this. A shimmery white gold eye liner, I picked this one up because I thought it would make a great change from your normal nude/white liner.

Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Caresse £31
Now let me tell you this blusher smells unbelievable, seriously every time I pop the compact open the smell just fills the air. A beautiful peachy shimmer that leaves a delicate gold sparkle on the cheeks. A great one for all year round in my opinion, it gives a lovely healthy glow to skin.

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in La Flamboyante £26
Red lips is without a doubt my Winter lip colour, it’s the one time of year that I find you can wear it no matter what. This is my first Chanel lipstick and it certianly won’t be my last. The velvet matte texture glides on the lips giving a great vibrant orangey-red colour with a matte finish meaning extra staying power. This is the lip shade we all need this Winter! Oh did I mention the very sleek packaging? You press down the gold lid and your lipstick pops out like magic.

The Chanel consultant was very kind enough to pop in a couple samples for me to try. I have tried the No5 Body Cream and it smells divine! I have a bottle of the perfume on my birthday list. I’m already planing my next trip into the counter to be matched up for a foundation. Sadly because this is a limited edition collection you may struggle to get your hands on certain items, having said that Boots online has some in stock.

Thoughts? Have you tried Chanel foundations?

What do you think of the Chanel Holiday collection this season?

xx
