Favorite nail polishes I blogged about in 2014

Disclaimer: Some press samples. See bottom.

I love looking back at all the nail polish I wore and reviewed at the end of each year, and trying to decide what really, really made me flip out! I blog about polish because I love it, so getting to look through all those swatch photos at one time reminds me of polishes that I love but might not be top-of-mind because I stashed it away in my closet as I experience and review newer things!

This year, I feel bad doing a list of my favorite polishes in 2014 when I haven’t really been blogging, swatching or wearing nail polish much the last quarter of the year. Luckily, my second trimester has brought a higher tolerance for nail polish and remover fumes!!!

So go into this list knowing that there are tons of beauties like KBShimmer, Girly Bits Cosmetics and I Love Nail Polish flakies that could very well have made my list – but they are still sitting there in my untrieds, waiting for me.

Anyway! I decided to go through the photos of polishes I actually blogged about in 2014, and chose my favorites from those. My list ended up being 22 pretties! I’ve hyperlinked the name of the polish under the photo to the corresponding blog post, so you can see more pics/get more info if something catches your fancy!

L’Oreal Hidden Gems:

L’Oreal Hidden Gems is a beautiful, glittery texture. I couldn’t resist this one when I put it on, and it immediately jumped out at me again as I reviewed my year!

Orly Saturated:

Orly’s summer collection was full of hot, bright win, but Saturated was the polish that stole my heart!

JulieG Santorini:

JulieG Santorini is a beautiful light blue with shimmer. I could have worn this all summer long.

KBShimmer Low and Be Bold:

I fell in love with KBShimmer Low and Be Bold, this strong blue shade is perfection.

Nails Inc. Covent Garden Ballet:

Nails Inc. Convent Garden Ballet is a kicked-up neutral – I get bored with neutrals, but that copper shimmer roped me in!

Color Club Kapow!:

Color Club Kapow! Need I say more?!

LVX Lolli:

LVX Lolli is a surprise pick for me, but there’s something perfect in this sweet shade of light pink, and the formula was perfect!

Sally Hansen On Pines and Needles:

Sally Hansen On Pines and Needles sweet green shimmer in this pine green base looks awesome on my skin tone!

OPI My Signature is “DC”:

OPI My Signature is “DC” is an awesome silver metallic foil. I could forsake all other silver polishes and live happily ever after with this one!

JulieG Bourbon Street:

JulieG Bourbon Street is an interesting glitter texture polish that stole my heart because of the variety of colors and because I have good memories of the handful of times I’ve been to New Orleans and Bourbon Street

Caption Mission Complete and Outta My Mind:

Ok, ok. So this is a bit of a cheat, it’s two polishes that create one favorite! Caption Mission Complete and Outta My Mind do AMAZING things together and I only wish this had held up better. I still want to experiment more with Caption, though. The effects are amazing!

KBShimmer Hexy Bikini:

KBShimmer Hexy Bikini is a bottle full of glitter win. I don’t even know what else to say. It’s simply gorgeous!

Different Dimension Big Bang:

Different Dimension Big Bang is an amazing silver glitter holo, and I don’t own anything else quite like it!

Zoya Sansa:

Zoya Sansa was one of those colors this year that made me pause. A beautiful, rich plum with vibrant gold shift. I think there’s even some green in there. It’s stunning.

Zoya Yuna:

Zoya Yuna is from the same collection as Sansa. I just love the depth of this and the muted, dusty green.

Nubar Affair:

Nubar Affair captured my heart with its playful turquoise and golden/green shimmers. It’s like an exotic ocean.

Milani Color Statement Blue Print:

Milani Blue Print is probably what I would describe as a “BeautyJudy blue.” I am obsessed with this type of blue and its vibrancy. Milani scored a home run this year with its nail lacquer relaunch in general!

Lacquistry Amazeballs Original:

Lacquistry Amazeballs Original is … Amazeballs.

Zoya Noir:

Zoya Noir is just such a beautiful, vampy texture polish! It feels like sophistication on my fingers!

Colors by Llarowe Show Me Again:

Colors by Llarowe Show Me Again is a pretty multichrome polish that has an added scattering of holo. Look at how strong that shift is!!!

Colors by Llarowe Show Me Da Money:

Colors by Llarowe Show Me Da Money is another multichrome polish with scattered holo – I love the shifts between the green hues. It’s beautiful!

Deborah Lippmann Marrakesh Express:

Deborah Lippmann Marrakesh Express is an exotic polish, a duochrome with added shards of golden glitter that make this one a total unique pick in my collection!

Phew. Thanks for checking out my picks with me! Are any of these polishes on YOUR 2014 list?! I’d love to hear what YOUR favorite 2014 polishes were!!!
