Luca: Breaking out the stamp set to make cards of encouragement for our neighbors. "Mom, I need to bless them." You amaze me everyday... you show me how I fall short...and how much bigger my heart needs to be everyday. If everyone had a heart like you... there would be far less evil. Oh you will do great things one day... you do great things already.

Canaan: Being silly...trying to make mama laugh. Always showing me the lighter side of things...reminding me to not be so serious...like a younger version of myself... one with less responsibility... but still, it's ok to let things go sometimes and just be present...happy... with you. "Snuggle me, mama." ...and then I do. Thankful that I chose to stop....even if it's for a minute...to savor a little of this tiny person...before, in a flash, you are a man standing tall in front of me... more holding me then, than I, you.
Neiva: My tiny taste-tester. Banana and avocado approved. You are a champion eater...taking time to savor every spoonful it seems... contemplating every flavor...like a true foodie ...and I giggle...just thinking of it...like you were an adult in a cafe...taste-testing and maybe contemplating what you will write in your food-blog or newspaper column or journal...of the adventures you might take...and then I am back...just in time for the next spoonful... silently thanking God for the now...and the many years I will have to enjoy you before you become a famous explorer/writer... or astronaut or rocket scientist....or.....
