Tea Ceremonies Around the World

Move over coffee - it's time for tea. Did you happen to see the latest issue of Conde Nast Traveler? Inside there is an article on tea ceremonies around the world beautifully shot by Anna Williams and gorgeously styled by Amy Wilson. The moment I saw this spread in the magazine I wished I could have been a part of it. I love how something as common as tea can be interpreted and revered so differently around the globe. Each with its own peculiarities and rituals.

I'm tempted to recreate each of these tea parties for myself (and maybe a few friends.) For drinking notes and a bit of history behind each of the ceremonies click on the link below the photos.

The British Isles.

India.

Morocco.

China.

Japan.

Eastern Africa.

Russia.

Which tea ceremony do you want to host first?
