Guerlain Les Tendres Collection Swatches + Review // Spring 2015

The Spring 2015 Guerlain Les Tendres Collection is the first time in awhile I’ve wanted to purchase from Guerlain. Not because I don’t love the brand but just because I wasn’t super excited about anything enough to buy their products over products from other brands like Chanel or Dior. I picked up a few items from this seasons collection mostly because I needed to get my hands on the Meteorites Perles de Blush and the other two just struck my fancy

Meteorites Perles de Blush in Angelic Radiance ($53.00 // Nordstrom). I’ve held off purchasing Guerlain Meteorites (aka Ballz) for my entire makeup life. I love the scent of their cheek products… and the ballz are pretty… but I’m a clumsy girl. And rolling things stand no chance. BUT. When the Meteorites Perles de Blush launched and appeared to give a gorgeous pink color as well as have that beautiful cherub packaging… I lost all sanity and bought it. The product is beautiful. The color is even more so. The packaging design make my heart flutter… but oh is it cheap feeling. HUGE downfall for me, because I love packaging and expected it to be on level with the other Meteorites. Also, you don’t get much product at all. And that powder puff is a PAIN in the rear to get out. It’s really just poorly designed and it’s a shame because the product itself is wonderful. For the price, though… all around not worth it. This product is limited edition.

Kiss Kiss Shaping Cream Lip Colour in 560 Rosy Silk ($37.00 // Nordstrom). Rosy Silk is a semi-sheer warm pink and it’s everything. I love the formula because it’s smooth and moisturizing. While it’s probably going to be too sheer for those with pigmented lips I love the color because it’s wearable on the daily. Because of the finish you only get like 2 hours of wear, but it’s smooth and easy to reapply. This product is limited edition and appears to be sold out where I’ve looked online for it, so definitely call ahead to check in store.

Ecrin 4 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in 504 Les Precieux ($65.00 // Nordstrom). Of the two palettes released Les Precieux is the one that caught my eye because of the olive shade and because it’s so wearable and classic looking. The bronzey shade is beautiful as well and the light pink and ivory make it angelic. Plus that design imprinted on the shadows is pretty you know how it goes. Anyway, the shades are smooth and buttery. Super easy to apply and they blend well, wear well. I heard some bad things about the formula on this one and I haven’t bought Guerlain in awhile, so I was definitely nervous that things had changed, but it was wonderful. A all around. This product is limited edition.

Below my picks from the Guerlain Spring 2015 Collection are swatched dry on bare skin:

In the look below I’m wearing Les Precieux on my eyes over UDPP. The bronze shade is all over the lid and through the crease, the light pink is in the inner corners and to blend out the crease, the ivory shade was used to highlight. I smudged the olive shade under the lower lash line. The eye liner is Marc Jacobs Ro(cocoa) Highliner-Gel Crayon and the mascara is Milani Total Lash Cover. Angelic Radiance is on my cheeks and Rosy Silk is on my lips.

If you’re interested in what I wear in terms of the other makeup it’s the products from IT Cosmetics mentioned here (but in the pic below I’m wearing the shade Light because the Medium in that post was much too dark for me). Brows are IT Cosmetics Your Brows But Better Brow Power Skinny Pencil and Anastasia Clear Brow Gel.

Guerlain Spring 2015 can be purchased at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s.
