It's no secret that a good majority of low-end retail clothing is heavily influenced by the most popular trends from the high fashion runways. For years low end retailers such as H&M, Topshop, and J. Crew have been redesigning styles from the runway and making them affordable to the masses. However, none of those brands have come close to Zara in replicating high fashion styles and producing good quality clothing. This saturday I did a bit of window shopping on the Upper Eastside and found myself completely smitten with the spring merchandise at Zara. High fashion styles found their low end retail home at Zara this season, in a mixture of shapes, patterns, and silhouettes. Some of my favorite looks from the Spring 2013 RTW Chanel, Balmain, and Kenzo shows were noticeably apparent in Zara's spring collection. I really appreciate how Zara kept the great quality of the clothing while dropping the price tags of the product. This is how you do high fashion on a budget.
