living in italy: the grape harvest

The grape harvest has come and gone in Italy - it's usually the entire month of October - and in that time you'll find trucks with hundreds of kilos of grapes passing you by on the narrow streets, and the fruit and vegetable vendors selling bunches of greens and reds for cheap. Here they're big and juicy, and have seeds. One day during a stroll we snuck up on these guys, loading their harvest to be crushed.

Pretty sure they won't be stamping all of those
with their feet, though I'd like to imagine that that's still how it's done.
