LazePad iPad Stand Review

Ever use your iPad cover to prop up your device in bed? When I do that, the cover’s seams starts to fall apart and the iPad slips down. Really annoying. But there’s a new item to make it easy to use your iPad while lying down and sitting comfortably.

The LazePad, provided for review, is an iPad stand that allows you to use your iPad while lying in bed, thus the name. I was skeptical when asked to review it, but it turned out to be incredibly useful and is now the only iPad case I use at home. Its lightweight, triangular design has two functional sides: on one, there is a track to slide the iPad in, which holds it securely in place; the other just has a ledge that you can sit the iPad on.

Each side is set up so that you can rotate it for optimal viewing while lying down and resting it on your chest, sitting with it on your legs, or placing it on the table. The LazePad’s hollow interior makes it easy to carry around; you just slip your arm through the triangle to hold it up.

It’s great for binge watching Netflix in bed and displaying recipes while I cook in the kitchen. I’m really impressed with how well it works for FaceTime. I’ve previously found it a real challenge to find the ideal FaceTime configuration. The cases I’ve used before were always angled too high. Even when I did manage to prop it up, my one-year-old would inevitably knock it down.

I felt confident with the protection the LazePad provides. “It’s made with ultra density technology, soft rubber but hard enough to support your iPad®.” It comes in three colors – pink, blue and black and is compatible with iPad 2/3 and the new iPad (not iPad air). The blue looks great!

There are only two downsides: due to the design, you have to remove the iPad from the stand to adjust the volume and it’s also too bulky and awkward to take to the office or on a trip. But for at home use, the LazePad is a huge improvement.

The LazePad works for children and adults. Shop from their website for $54.99 plus shipping and you can pay with PayPal. You can get a $5 discount by sharing on Twitter, Facebook G or following on Twitter (@LazePad). You can also purchase it from Amazon. Remember the countdown to the holidays is on!
