new work : kristen wood

I’m so excited to share with you all a new project from my design studio, Rowan Made, that recently launched! Kristen Wood is a talented photographer based in San Francisco, California, with a whole lot of experience (ten years!) under her belt. She comes from a background in fine art photography and focuses primarily on shooting in film. It’s textural. It’s tangible. And I 100% fell completely in love with her work at first sight. We wanted to create a brand that felt classic and professional, while seamlessly fitting in with her work. The identity is rather simple, while the color palette brings in hues to match common tones seen throughout accompanying photographs.

Once Kristen’s branding was finalized, I definitely had a blast bringing things to life on screen. Because really, who wouldn’t want to play around with such pretty photos?? We ended up with a grid based homepage (and a rotating slideshow to show off work), accompanied by airy inner pages that are easy to sift through. Feel free to see the rest of the website right here! And a big thank you to Tom Wilz for coding everything so quickly. He’s the best. Oh! And just in case you forgot, the moodboard for this project is shown below. It’s a favorite to date!
