What I wore in 2014.

2014 is drawing to a close, and just as I did in 2012 and 2013, I thought it would be fun to look back at some of my favourite outfits of the year. It's been a wonderful, positive year full of progress and good company, and that happiness has been reflected in my wardrobe. I've embraced colour and quirky detailing, along with my persistent love of midi lengths. Even if the poufy midi skirt trend doesn't survive 2015, I won't be relinquishing them anytime soon!
In January I wore my ever-trusty fluffy pink jumper with a sequin skirt from Dahlia that I nabbed for less than half price. In February I wore my favourite co-ord set to date from one of my favourite brands, Alice's Pig. In March I paired monochrome and pastel pink, pulling on my beloved pink coat from Topshop over a daisy print playsuit. I got a lot of wear out of my sturdy Dr Martens shoes, and introduced lots of pastels into my winter/early spring wardrobe by balancing them with black accessories.
In April my love of midi lengths reared it's stubborn head, and I fell in love with this pink gingham skirt from Matalan the moment I laid eyes on it. I paired it with dainty blue heels and a few elegant basics. In May Grant and I attended a screening for his film module at university, so I dressed up a bit, pairing my favourite taffeta skirt with a basic striped boyfriend tee from Primark. In June I went retro, and styled a pink midi dress with a giant boater hat, my pink satchel, and a wonderful pair of silver shoes.
In July I went thoroughly girly in a My Little Pony sweater from Truffle Shuffle and a showstopping pink tulle skirt. It was one of my gaudier outfits, but that made me love it all the more! In August I wore one of my favourite dresses of the year; a lip printed number from Chicwish. I was beginning to feel a little autumnal by the end of the month, so I paired it with black accessories and followed up the shoot with a bit of blackberry picking! In September Grant and I headed back to Bath for our final year of uni, and I wore a beautiful floral skirt from Missguided for a walk through the parks on a free afternoon.
In October I bought a stunning pink metallic skirt from River Island for the Cosmo Blog Awards, and wore it into town one day with my pink fluffy jumper and staple silver heels from Marks and Spencer. In November I received a lovely package from Pepa Loves containing a fantastic retro dress and striking red coat. I couldn't resist wearing them both together, pairing them with my beautiful leather and suede boots from Duo. In December, for Christmas day, I wore a beautiful skirt from Chicwish with a champagne novelty clutch from New Look.
Which month is your favourite, and what have you been wearing this year?
