Something that constantly comes up in conversations on items to cut from your wedding budget is wedding favors.

To some, they might seem unnecessary — an extra added expense. There are so many wedding favors that are silly little trinkets with couples’ names and wedding dates…. let’s be honest, most of those little tchotchkes end up in the trash, and are therefore a waste of money.

That’s why I *love* edible wedding favors as an option for affordable favors for your wedding.

Anything from candy to homemade baked goods to freezer jam can make delightful wedding favors that don’t have to cost a ton of money, and give your guests an extra something special as thanks for celebrating your big day with you!

Here are some of our favorite ideas for edible wedding favors:

PS – OldTimyCandy.com is celebrating 15 years on the web! Save 15% on any order over $50 during the month of February. Use code: acelebration15 At Checkout

What do you think of these ideas? Any of them strike your fancy?

If you’re thinking about making your own edible wedding favors for your guests to enjoy, just be sure to take the time required and cost into consideration into your planning and give yourself enough leeway to handle any messups and re-do’s. Also keep in mind that you will need to get supplies for packaging your wedding favors as well!

So tell us:

would you consider making your own wedding favors?
