Fluttering Thoughts:
Worldbuilding: Love the Dark Kings world, plus the Scotland setting.
Characters: Iona and Laith are awesome, but we get to focus on a some really awesome other characters as well, like Rhi, and Rhys (wove him!), and Lily of course…I am so looking forward to the next stories in the series, seriously!
And I love Con too, though sometimes he’s harder to get…at least for now.
Plot: I love how the story slowly branches out into a few potential tangents for future stories, giving the reader a good look into more than the main pair.
Writing: Third person, past tense narrative, mostly his and her POV (Iona and Laith), with some interesting and tantalizing contributions from other characters mentioned above
Curb Appeal: Yum cover, hooking blurb, instant-buy author name.
Loved the second part of the novel, and though it’s a bit tough to limit each fluttering thoughts on the serial installment, I am giving it my best shot, lol! Get these babies and read them, as serial or as a full novel when it comes out, end of December.
