A good old OOTD post. How long has it been since we had one of those round here?
Thankfully yesterday I had a willing photographer in
Laura Carlson - every good turn deserves another and as I took her photos she happily agreed to take mine.
The dress is new and it's from the Spring Reiss collection. I spotted it at the Press Day and with the help of a voucher picked it up last week.
It's tiered and with laser cut detail. I bloody LOVE laser cut detail. Show me a garment with some kind of cut out and I will snatch it out of your hands.
What I also liked - and what really closed the deal in the changing room - was the way that the dress falls. Its flattering and supremely comfortable to wear.
The length is a bit different from my typical midi skirt but you know what, I am having an anti-midi phase. I don't know what it is but whenever I put them on I just feel a big old frump. So for now it's legs out.
I wore this outfit to the new brunch at
Frioul at Madinat Jumeirah. As much as I love the setting - by the water and with a beautifully decorated interior - the food just wasn't for me. Frogs legs as a starter? No thanks Kermit. I filled up on a veggie main and the dessert platter instead and I was very happy with that.

Link! I hope you all had a great weekend! I do have some more clothing purchases and bits and bobs to share with you so let's hope I can rope in a willing photographer to help out with those posts! There have also been some beauty developments in terms of a new makeup routine rut so expect much blogging to ensue.
