Everything Butter

Are you a fan of everything bagels? I love them but I’ve been eating largely Paleo this year (it’s helped me lose almost 65 lbs since having my third baby…despite all the butter and fats I consume!), so bread isn’t usually on the menu for me. This recipe takes all the spices and seeds that make up those delicious everything bagels and mixes them into butter. I love it on these Paleo Honey Biscuits (these are SO good) or on Ezekiel bread.

We are huge fans of Kerrygold Grassfed Butter, which we get at Costco for a great price. I stock up when I’m there and freeze some since Costco is a bit of a drive for us.

This would be awesome to serve to house guests at breakfast over the Holidays or on Christmas dinner with fresh dinner rolls!

NOTE: All ingredients are the kind in the spices and herbs aisle. I got everything list below at Target except the butter. So, minced garlic is the one labeled just that: “minced garlic”. Do not sub garlic powder or fresh garlic. You won’t get the right texture. Same goes for the minced onion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb salted butter, at room temp (I use Kerrygold)
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp minced onion
  • 2 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp black sesame seeds

Whip butter in a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment (or use a hand-mixer). Add in all ingredients and whip until well-combined.

I store it in the fridge but let it get to room temp before using since butter is so much easier to spread at room temp.

Yes, I did eat the bread with that much butter on it after taking these photos. I needed fuel for my PiYo workout.
