DIY – You are so loved 3D quote artwork

A while back I found these really nice laser cut letters at the craft store. I took them home and thought about all the amazing things I could do with them. But honestly, they where just lying there waiting for me to decide what to make. And then I had some left over paint from another project. That’s when I knew what I wanted to do with those wooden letters: I wanted to make a cute 3D quote artwork. I absolutely love how it turned out. It’s a simple project, but it really looks amazing!

What you need for this cute DIY 3D Quote artwork

• small canvas
• laser cut letters
• wood glue
• sponge (I cut up household sponges)
• small plate to mix the paint
• acrylic paint

How to make a cute DIY 3D Quote artwork

Mix the paint roughly on your plate. I used red, white and a little bit of yellow. I mixed in the yellow with the red first and then added some more red and white. You want the paint to look uneven colored, so when you mix it to much you won’t get the effect I’ve got. When your paint mixture is right, just sponge it on your canvas by making vertical stripes. Don’t forget the sides of your canvas!

When your paint is completely dry you can add the letters. Find a quote you love and lay down the letters on your canvas where you want them to be. Use wood glue to let them stay in place.
