Make Up Madness May #6 - Review - Nails Inc The Paint Shop Gel Manicure

The Paint Shop - Nails Inc - Selfridges, London - £39.00
Last time I was in London I headed to the beauty hall in Selfridges to pick up a few items for my kit, whilst I was there I noticed Nails Inc had launched their paint shop, deep in the realms of Selfridges, so I thought I would try it out, and compare the service and quality to other brands such as shellac.
I'm a big fan of gel nails, but never have the time to have them professionally removed and then reapplied. As a little treat for being in London I decided I would check out Nails Inc Paint Shop - I booked in an appointment for later on that day, excited to see what it was like.
Now unlike other brands such as Shellac & Jessica, Nails Inc use a gel base coat, followed by two normal nail polish coats, followed by a gel top coat. Now I have to say I was a little disappointed with this, as not only did it prolong the process, I felt the price should've been a little cheaper. Or at least the nail polish chucked in for free.
The last few times I've had gel polish it's lasted for about 3 - 4 weeks, where the 4th week it begins to painfully chip and peel away. This however chipped within the first week! Not overly impressed, seeing as I paid more than I would normally for a Shellac/ Jessica manicure at home.
The only plus side was it looked beautiful for the first few days, and the staff at the paint shop were great!
Would I choose to go back there? Probably only for a simple manicure, for gel I have to say I would rather go back to my normal salon.
Have you experienced the paint shop yet? What are your thoughts?
