What Why Where: Venice Days

I rarely get in more than one WWW post while traveling but with all of the amazing photo ops LA has to offer, how could I resist? (plus, having a photog friend who lives there doesn’t hurt the situation) So I’m throwing it back this Thursday to last week…when I was in shorts and just not giving a damn.

How wrong yet so right it feels to rock shorts in January. It’s like having having dessert before AND after dinner (and maybe even once more after that).

WHAT (am I wearing):
Sweatshirt: Acne Studios. Shorts: Alexander Wang x H&M. Shoes: Givenchy. Bag: Kara. Earring: Delfina Delettrez. Sunglasses: Mykita Margiela.

WHY (am I wearing it):
These were the only shorts I brought to LA, as the weather was in the mid-70s most of the time (or as I like to call it “borderline shorts weather”). I didn’t think I’d wear these for anything other than a hike or a workout (so LA of me) but after finding this sweatshirt at Opening Ceremony (home of the pizza couch), I thought my life could use a little athleisure before I revert back to heavy sweaters and boots. I really didn’t give this look as much thought as I usually do. I just wanted something comfortable to walk around in all day (and any chance for my trusted lace sneakers that I probably wear too much for my own good, I’ll take!) Mesh shorts, a sweatshirt, sneakers and a backpack…not much to it. Athleisurely back to school and its finest, no?
