Sunday Stash Shopping #41: Bobbi, Angelique, Audrey

It’s one of those rare days that I didn’t know what makeup to put on. We usually stay home for Valentine’s but this year, Mr ChloeAsh decided to do something special for me. He even arranged for someone to babysit all 3 kids, so I was really touched. We went out for a movie, watched Jupiter Ascending (loved Mila’s variety of makeup especially the red one for her wedding) and then had dinner. Anyway, in the end, I just went with what felt comfortable at that time, and here’s what I came up with.

That’s NARS Audrey on my lips and for the rest of the face, here are the products.

I used 2 mascaras because they don’t work very well if used alone. Sigh. My dilemma with mascaras. This mascara from Eyeko has great formula, but why must they make the wand look like this? So I had to resort to my Sucky Sucky technique.

Anyway, when layered, they’re not too bad. I’m trying to convince myself anyway. I’d apply the Eyeko one first, let it dry then apply the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill (or vice versa, negligible difference). The result is still at most underwhelming, but definitely better than worn alone. This is me trying to make them work because I can’t give away mascaras I’ve used! Sucks big time.

Here’s a closer look at my Bobbi Brown eye makeup. I used a matte blending shade on my lids (Earth) and on the hollow of my eye socket before darkening the outer corners of my upper and lower lash line with a black (Rich Caviar). I then used a shimmer (Golden Bronze) and dabbed it from the inner corner to the centre of my lids.

Also, can I say again that I love the blush? *swoon* And those freckles. No skincare could get rid of them. I know I can’t beat them so must I join them? Hahaha… one day, I will Darth Maul these freckles and zap them away with my dual ended lightsaber or something.
