Friday Favorites

I haven’t done a Friday Favorites post in so long – mainly because I haven’t been blogging consistently – but also because I couldn’t think of anything I was loving! This week is easy – I have six fabulous favorite things…

one. peppermint.

Peppermint Coffee

Other than Peppermint Patties, I have never been a fan of anything peppermint flavored. Then one day I was at Starbucks and I told the barista I didn’t know what to get. She suggested coffee with pumps of peppermint and cinnamon dolce. It sounded a bit funky – but I tried it – and LOVED it. I hate the peppermint mocha, but the peppermint cinnamon dolce is divine. If you wanna try it FOR FREE enter my Starbucks $15 gift card giveaway!

two. New York Bagels

Ray’s New York Bagels

There are some things that the North just does better – pizza being number one and bagels being number two. I love that I can buy New York style bagels in my grocery store here in Georgia. Ray’s New York Bagels are my current breakfast obsession. Yes they are frozen – but if you pop one in the oven for 5-7 minutes and then toast it – ohmuhgawd it’s good. They taste fresh and amazing topped with everything from butter (Earth Balance) to peanut butter to a cheesey (dairy free of course) sunny side up egg.

three. baked tofu.

Nasoya Baked Tofu

In my quest to find healthy protein rich foods that my daughter will eat, I’ve attempted tofu multiple times. Most of my attempts were FAILS – baking tofu in applesauce is hard and messy! Then I saw Nasoya had a new product at our grocery store – Marinated Baked Teriyaki Tofu – that looked delicious. The fact that there is 8g of Protein and 4.5g of Fat in just one square was also appealing. Annabelle spit out her first bite, but then reconsidered her decision when she saw me eat a small piece. She took the fork from me and put it in her mouth. Then signed for MORE! We are both fans now, I just wish there were other flavors!

four. big sessy glasses.

Riedel Wine Glasses

After opening my Christmas gift from my sister in law, I think I almost knocked her down with my excitement. She overhead me talking at Annabelle’s birthday party how I wanted some big sexy wine glasses and she went on a hunt to find me some. Thank you Riedel for making such beautiful wine holders. Every time I pick up my glass I think, “AHHhhhhh.” And I feel fancy drinking out of them. BONUS my mom AND other sister in law bought me sets of big sessy wine glasses in different styles, so now I can have a big sexy wine glass party.

five. real life.

Danielle Guenther – Photographer

Honestly – I think Lifestyle photographer Danielle Geunther is a genius. I want her to come photograph my family this weekend… and then again in a few years when we have another kid and a bigger mess in our house. I saw this article on Facebook showcasing the amazing hilarious family portraits by Danielle Geunther and fell in love with the truth in each photo. No one’s life is perfect, so why do we pretend? I am guilty of posting flawless family photos taken by a professional and now I want someone to take something real! Of course – I want it to look amazing like Guenther’s photos – but maybe someday I’ll convince B to make it happen.

six. baby turbans

Because who doesn’t love a baby turban??!!! My cousin is SO talented and I just had to share her Etsy shop with you all. Hopefully sometime soon you’ll be seeing a collaboration with Nonsuch Novelties and Confessions of a Northern Belle – so keep your eyes peeled for a little Mommy and Me post!

Happy Friday!
