Serial Fans: What to Read, Watch, Listen to Next

If you’re having Serial podcast withdrawals, you need this list!! Serial Fans — here’s what to read, watch, listen to next.

Oh, friends.

Please tell me that you also fell prey to the Serial podcast.

I’ve listened to many podcasts — I subscribe to a few churches for sermons I enjoy, This American Life, RadioLab — but none grabbed me the way this one did.

(Yes, I just said that I was more obsessed with a true crime podcast than a sermon podcast. What can I say, Sarah Keonig weaves a compelling tale. Do not judge me)

There were several nights that I sat up in bed with my iPhone and earbuds, wide awake and listening to episode after episode. My husband is like, sooo…you’re just gonna sit there and stare at the wall then? And I’m like “SHHHHHH…NOW I HAVE TO REWIND TO HEAR WHAT JAY JUST SAID”.

I have a tendency to get so immersed in new books or TV shows to the point that I do not know what to do with myself when it’s over. And now of course, Serial is over, leaving me with this empty hole in my heart that can only be filled with crime stories.

Is that even normal?

If, by some strange chance, you are my kindred crime spirit and are also having major Serial withdrawals, I have the list for you! I rounded up a list of fabulous television shows, movies, documentaries, books, and even podcasts, that are perfect for easing the pain.

Click HERE for the list, and click HERE to easily repin it to refer to later.

It’s okay, friends. I promise, we can get through this.

Until sometime later this year…take your time, Sarah Koenig. (not really…get a move on. Like, yesterday, please).

Enjoy, friends! I’d love to hear additional suggestions, if you have any!
