Review: Nichido 7x Curl Mascara – a cheap mascara that works!

I shared in a previous post that I really enjoy shopping for local drugstore cosmetics when I go abroad. Usually, I don’t do enough research to learn what are the local favorites, and therefore my purchases tend to be hit or miss… which is totally fine for me! However, this time I was lucky enough to find a great product!

This is a review of the Nichido 7x Volume Curl Mascara. Nichido is a popular brand in the Philippines.

Price: 288 PHP (around $6.50). Nichido was one of the cheapest brands I found in the Philippines, and it was also the one I liked the most!

Brush: This product has a fairly thin rubber brush, which I found was very easy to get into the corners of my eyes.

Pros:

• This product gives me pretty good volume
• The brush is easy to use
• This product is not very wet, which I like!
• OMG, this product does not smudge under my eyes!!!

Cons:

• Despite the name, I don’t think this product does anything to curl my eyelashes

Would I repurchase? Yes! If you have a chance to purchase this, please try it!

Wow, it has been a while since I found a mascara that did not smudge under my eyes. Since I had already tried another Nichido mascara which smudged like CRAZY under my eyes, I didn’t have high hopes for this product. I love it when I find unexpected gems!
