Glam Glow Youth Mud Mask

I have heard a lot of buzz about this mask. It is supposedly a staple in the beauty regimens of many starlets, so I decided to give it a go when I saw some blogs giving it a positive review. This stuff isn’t cheap at $69 for the 1.7 oz size, but I purchased mine for half that from Costco (and I have read on Nouveau Cheap that people have found it at TJ Maxx and Marshalls). I used up my entire jar and am ready to give you my personal experience with it.

This stuff has a pretty rough texture. I was very careful when I applied it to do it as gentle as possible. It has a burning/tingling sensation when I first put it on. It has bits of green tea leaves in it that you can see on your face. It dries pretty quick, being totally dry in about 10 minutes. When it is all dry it feels nice and tight. I found I prefer to use this after my shower. I would apply, let it dry, then hop back in to gently wash it off my face.

I gotta say, totally unimpressed with this. It feels very rough. You have to use a really gentle touch when applying and removing. It didn’t help the appearance of my skin. It didn’t look brighter, did nothing for my blackheads, and it just felt uncomfortable to use. I do not plan to repurchase this, as I have lower cost masks that are much gentler and give me visible results. I wanted to love this, but it just didn’t wow me.
