Crate DIY Holiday :: Gift Card Holders & Card

Giving a gift card or monetary amount as a 'present' under the tree needn't be boring. These petite and charming Notes & Things envelopes are a great alternative for gifting smaller items. It's like two presents in one!

Hello Everyone, Wida Miller here presenting my very last post with Crate Paper. I have loved every collection release that has landed on my desk this last year, and have greatly cherished my time with Crate Paper. It's been my dream team! I adore the brand with all of my heart. It has been an honor to showcase their gorgeous products with you. Thank you especially to Christine Middlecamp for the wonderful support!

It's time to think about gift giving again as December is here! Today, I'm using CP Maggie Holmes Open Book and Notes & Things to create a handmade gift.

First, I gathered some 12 x 12 sheets of paper from the Notes and Things collection and die-cut them to make a selection of small tri-fold gift cards or money holders. This style of die cut is readily available at the Silhouette store in a variety of sizes.

I loved them so much that I made a bunch!

Inside, you can put a note, dollar bills, or a gift card. The papers are so pretty that not much else is needed to embellish them. Of course, I had to add a few tiny items.

I tied this gift with a pretty ribbon and attached a tag from the Maggie Holmes Open Book collection. On the tag, I die cut the word "love", another collection feature. Isn't the font gorgeous?

Because I couldn't stop there, I made a card, too. Keeping with the same theme and feel, I used red cardstock, ribbon, and floral patterned paper. Isn't it striking? The paper does most the work.
