Win a Pink Beanie

as I announced earlier today, here’s the blog post about the chunky, fluffy, super soft, bright pink beanie I knitted!

A couple months ago I learned about We Are Knitters through Instagram. Their modern crochet and knitting designs, with items that I would actually buy in store if I wasn’t a yarn crafter myself, appealed to me immediately. I checked out their website and they had me when I saw the chunky wool and large knitting needles dipped in gold, silver and teal. Now those I just couldn’t resist.

Can you image my joy when WAK suggested I’d try one of their knitting kits; the pink beanie? One ball project, cables included, funky colour, pure wool, please Bring It On.

The package arrived in a stylish brown paper bag, including the wool, needles, clear instructions with beginners tips and a chart, a large darning needle; basically everything you need to make the beanie. Just add scissors and a cable needle and you’re off.

About the yarn. It is not twined, just spinned as you can see. This makes it absolutely Super Soft, chunky and lovely to work with. Just a beautiful wool to get your hands on! The beanie was finished in one afternoon and the left over yarn I used to make the giant pompom. So much fun.
