Jeff Koons Retrospective at Le Centre Pompidou

Jeff Koons is one of the world’s most important and successful contemporary artists. He is using symbols of the consumer culture as the basis for his works and alienates or imitates them. The famous “Balloon Dog”, for example, has become an icon of the current pop culture and was recently sold for $58.4 million as the most expensive piece of art by a living artist. Now the Centre Pompidou in Paris looks back on the 35-year career of the American artist and presents his works in a major retrospective for the first time in Europe. The retrospective is running until April 27, 2015 – don’t miss to pay a visit!
