Classic movies are a great place to draw outfit inspiration from. When I first picked up this jacket in a random thrift store, I was immediately reminded of James Dean (not Deen) in Rebel Without A Cause. When channeling inspiration from your favorite silver screen characters you want to make sure it doesn’t get costume-y. My personal take on the look involved an oversized sweatshirt, destroyed denim and Timbs because I am not a white man in the 50′s. (Even though a Buzzfeed quiz would probably suggest it.) This look is also a great story on fluctuating weather staples. I don’t wear this red suede jacket enough but it’s one of those pieces I keep in my closet and only pull out when the time is right. (That’s what James Deen said.)
