it has begun

I know I’ve probably written the word “school” more than 100 times since starting this blog, but I just thought I should inform y’all that the /workload/ I’ve been dreading has finally kicked in. I spent a great deal of time convincing myself that this year wouldn’t be /that/ bad, but I was so very wrong…because school has proceeded to punch me in the face like 10 times in the past 2 days.

“What does all of this mean, Dani?” you may ask. Well, my friends, it means that I am once again:
1) a narcoleptic, falling asleep while standing up and sitting down and talking to people etc
2) a Doodle Jump addict, assigning the least cool game in the universe as a stress relieving tactic
3) an even bigger slob than I was before, demonstrated by my hurricane of a room which is now literally covered in clothes and shoes and various magazines with Willem Dafoe on them (don’t ask why)

I don’t really know what any of this means, but I must say that I’m liking how comfortable I was today in this getup.

These pants were a gift from the kind folk over at Sugarlips, who, as one of my longterm sponsors, never ceases to surprise me in very pleasant ways. Pulling these pants out of their magnetic-lidded box completely brightened up my morning, as they look like a maxi skirt but are actually two separate pantular entities…which is really *fun*. And sneaky. Also, while we’re kind of on the topic of the box situation, let me just take the time to recognize that the Sugarlips design team deserves some mad props…because the packaging was really all kinds of awesome.

Another thing that is all kinds of awesome is this cardigan from Romwe. As someone who has always lacked pseudo-sweater/transitional weather layers, this piece is perfect, as it adds a fun pop of print while still being fairly low-maintenance and easy to wear. Since the weather over here is being really confusing, (I’m talking about like 10 degree mornings and 28 degree afternoons), having an extra layer on will definitely never hurt.
