Part of this great, natural beauty experiment was taking a few weeks to experience a few naturally anti-aging products from Made to Matter, Handpicked by TargetTM. Like I mentioned before, my personal goal in this whole thing, was to transition into the idea of skincare AS make-up. I have to be honest though and say that preventative care has never been at the forefront of my mind until recently. Obviously 25 is still young, so this may sound ridiculous to some, but I feel like I've suddenly hit the age where my body and subsequently my skin, is starting to look and react differently than it did when I was 19. Back when I was 19, I was talking skincare with my cousin who's the same age, and she told me that she used anti-aging products all the time. My initial reaction was, “You do? But why??" But hey! I get it now! And she wins the prize for the best-looking under-eye situation.

I think the trick with this kind of stuff, at least for me right now, is not necessarily to go with the anti-wrinkle product brigade, but rather with the sensitive, hyper-moisturizing, SPF containing, eye-brightening, minimal ingredient version of products that will improve conditions on the home front right now, and leave my skin in overall better condition for future use.

I mean we all know the tricks of the trade for anti-aging according to the "beauty secrets" revealed in celebrity interviews, right? Get plenty of sleep, drink lots of water, and never ever go out without sunscreen. But on the off-chance that getting plenty of sleep is not exactly an option, I'm especially excited to see what happens after the prescribed 8 weeks of use on the brightening serums and eye creams, because having naturally bright eyes has, so far, been my own personal unattainable unicorn of beauty secrets, and I'd love to finish out my twenties with a little less cover-up.
