CoSchedule – A Great Tool for Bloggers

As a blogger I know the importance of getting my blog posts out on social media. What is the point in creating content to only share it once? As a busy homeschooling mom, homemaker, virtual assistant, and someone who contributes to and manages multiple blogs it’s easy to feel overwhelmed but important to try to keep it all together!

Disclosure: I receive a discount on the service for sharing my CoSchedule review. Regardless, all opinions are my own. This post contains referral links.

That’s why I was excited to learn about CoSchedule because it has numerous features to make blogging easier from planning to scheduling to social shares!

First is the great editorial calendar. With the editorial calendar you can plan posts in advance to be sure there will be plenty of great content. It helps to be sure I have regular content as well as not overbooking myself with reviews and giveaways as well as keeping all of my posts spaced out well. This helps me to see where I have openings to fill with content or to be able to tell sponsors a more clear date on when they can expect their review. For example, I just received a few products, so now I can look at my open dates next week and easily start a draft and plug them in!

With the simple Drag-And-Drop feature I can easily rearrange my calendar as needed. With my health issues recently I’ve had to shuffle things around, and this feature makes it so easy. If a post happens to not be ready by the date, it simply will stay in drafts, so there are no worries about unfinished posts being published. I love that I can see all my social shares on the calendar as well.

CoSchedule is so much more than just an editorial calendar, though. It is also a social media scheduler, and it all works from right there in my WordPress dashboard. I can even schedule my social media shares right there from my post editor! For once there is a tool that makes it so easy to schedule social shares I have no reason not to! I just scroll down below my post and can see my CoSchedule share options.

Sharing posts multiple times is key, and CoSchedule even offers great insight on how often you should share on which platform! Once I have a post ready I can schedule it to post on Facebook and Twitter immediately, the next day, next week, next month, etc. I can even add hash tags or Twitter handles as needed. It’s an amazing feature that has simplified everything. I don’t need to go to another website, log in to a different account, set up multiple shares for different dates and times, etc. I can do it all right there with ease! Plus, I can see a preview of what my social share will look like to know it will look right.

With CoSchedule, it’s given me a reason to go back into my blog archives and touch up old evergreen content to not only touch up the posts but schedule social shares to give them the social shares they never got originally. This has refreshed my older posts and brought in more traffic because these posts were published before I had the traffic and following I have now!

Do you want to know how your posts are doing? CoSchedule offers a Top Posts section as well where you can track your posts’ performance across social media platforms. It also shows any upcoming shares you have of those posts, so if you see a post has been popular, you can easily schedule more shares to bring in more traffic to that post! It even shows posts I had written before using CoSchedule.

Do you blog with a team? I recently started a blog with a team member and contribute to blogs with multiple contributors and can see how CoSchedule could be a powerhouse tool. Posts can be scheduled and assigned to team members, and it’s easy for all team members to see when posts and social shares are being published.
