Art Hearts Fashion Closes NYFW With a Bang

MTCostello collection (Photography by Jeffrey Grossman)

Last Thursday, I attended the Art Hearts Fashion show, which closed out Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with an amazing display of one-of-a-find pieces. Designer Mister Triple X kicked off the show with a sophisticated street wear line for men and women. Bold prints and subdued were a characteristics of the collection, with the only major burst of color seen with fiery red pants worn by one of the male models.

Walter Mendez’s chic and elegant gowns took to the runway next, featuring dresses that were absolutely breathtaking. Soft greys transitioned smoothly to dark blues and bold velvet greens. Reality star and entrepreneur Lilly Ghalichi stunned the audience as she graced the runway, showing off one of the designer’s most elegant pieces in the collection.

House of Li Jon was by far my favorite, as the designs featured bold patterns and the brand’s signature hand crafted wearable couture armor, which glistened as it hugged the curves of each model’s frame.

Hailing from the Netherlands, House of Byfield showcased fitted suiting and men’s bags as well as contemporary dresses for women.

Furs were abundant in Hallie Sara’s collection off luxury pieces reminiscent of the iconic old-world glamour and timelessness of feminine silhouettes.

Finally, MTCostello’s immaculate collection of gowns were absolutely breathtaking. His showcase of designs proved to be a crowd pleaser, opening with a model wearing a reptilian face makeup and a solo male model who walked down the runway wearing nothing more than a golden robe and covering his manhood with his hands.
