What I Wish I Knew My First Year in Blogging

This month I'm celebrating my one-year blogiversary with a What-I-Wish-I-Knew-My-First-Year-in-Blogging Series, which will include my very first give-aways and promotions throughout the series! Wahoo!

A friend of mine decided over a year ago, actually around the same time I did, that she wanted to create a blog. We took two different approaches. She worked tirelessly designing her blog and brainstorming topics, researching blog strategies and studying various blogs. Me? Well, I just jumped right in. She is still dipping her toes in the shallow end, not sure if she's ready to take the plunge. Whose approach is better?
