Dandy Brogues for Women
It seems women have been fighting for the title rights to Brogues for some seasons now, and I think we might just be there!
The overtly masculine shoe is becoming quite the norm in many a woman’s wardrobe and a stylish addition to this seasons must-haves.
But in saying that – the ruling vibe of Brogues is still one of masculinity. It really is simply the current trend of mixing and matching what belongs to either sex that allows brogues to look as slick as they do when worn by a female. If looking out for a pair of Brogues this season, make sure to make a point of finding a pair that is well proportioned width wise, it’ll do all the favours in the world when it comes to slimming down your entire look.
Adornments in the form of gold or silver plates can be seen taking form over the top of this seasons Brogues as well, a real hint at feminine orientations.
This adds a serious amount of metallic glam to the shoe in a seriously structured but femininely appropriate way.
Now in terms of wearing Brogues, don’t do them the injustice of pairing them with items that are too flouncy or flirty. Think strong, powerful and playful… all in a boyish manner (via great trousers, oversized coats and white shirts! These three items are DEF great matches amongst many)
