I've been fully taking advantage of the warmer days here in Southern California. My parents live in an old cowboy town, so when you drive a little deeper in you can come across large pieces of ranch land. Lots of grass and huge trees with branches that twist and turn in the most intricate of ways. The environment seems to transport you into a totally different time period. It's quite a wonderful little escape. Almost ghost town-like. I can just about hear the tumbleweeds blowing. My boots digging deep into crunchy old leaves that are waiting for spring to sweep them away. The sunset glow over the top of the rugged valley mountains. This is where I grew up and I'll always appreciate the little things about it that bring bits of peace into my life when I most need it.
