September Beauty Board: Scents, Scrubs and Some Thing You Can’t Live Without

Scent-sational

As a freelance beauty reviewer for Neiman Marcus, I’m always excited to try out new products, but this month’s offerings were some of my most favorite to date. Take, for instance Byredo Parfums Gypsy Water Eau De Parfum. The blend of spicy and citrus is, to me, the essence of fall. I’ll be wearing this fragrance alongside my new fall fashions. The bottle is also beautiful, with its minimalist design. I love how pretty it looks on my vanity.

Finishing Touches

It’s the details that make the difference—and that also applies to makeup. When getting ready for a night out, I like to try a new lip shade, like this one from Jason Wu for Lancome. Then, I like to take lashes to new levels with Lancome’s Grandiose Mascara from Neiman Marcus. Final touch: a bit of bling, like this necklace from TJ Maxx.

Clean Up Your Act

Buffing, scrubbing, polishing—the joys of having skin. I like to start with Sisley-Paris Phyto-Pate Moussant Soapless Foaming Cleanser to get skin clean. Then, slough off daily wear and tear with Omorovicza Blue Diamond Resurfacing Peel. After removing, I wash up again with Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Hydrating Milk Cleanser. All can be found at Neiman Marcus. For the rest of my cleansing routine, I like to polish legs, elbows and knees with Isola Body Vanilla Orange Sea Salt Body Scrub. It smells as good as it scrubs.

Be Proactive

Moisturizing is a must. But I also make sure to protect my skin with sunscreen, like Shiseido Sun Protection Stick SPF 37, available at Neiman Marcus, first. Then, I let my skin drink up Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream Moisturizer. The power of the two help fight the signs of aging, because, well pretending to be 21 requires a little maintenance.
