WordPress quick tip: How to add scripts to your site

Let’s say you just joined an ad network and they need to identify your blog so that the proper ads will show, and also track your stats. Maybe you want more insight on how people are using your site with Inspectlet. Or maybe you just want to change up your site fonts with Google Fonts or TypeKit.

What do these services have in common? They ask you to install code on every page of your website, either above the closing head tag or the closing body tag.

Ummm… closing what?

Enter the Insert Headers and Footers plugin. Install the plugin, and you’ll find a new Insert Headers and Footers page under Settings. The page gives you two boxes to insert code either before the closing head tag or the closing body tag. No digging through your theme files!

Bonus points: you can change your theme and your extra code will still be there.

An easy plugin that makes installing code above the closing head or closing body tag.
