MBFFS // Day One

I have had the most crazy, amazing few days, I don't even know where to begin! I've been in Sydney for the past 4 days and it has been the best. The city is my favourite place, I was so happy to spend a few days there doing what I love. Last Thursday I was able to attend Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney with my friend Bella (from Bones).

I was so lucky to win an Instagram competition run by Fashion Bloggers TV, which meant we both got to sit front row! Fashion Bloggers TV is a new television programme coming to the Style Channel, launching on October 15th. It features 5 of Australia's top bloggers - Zanita Whittington, Margaret Zhang, Sara Donaldson, Kate Waterhouse and Amanda Shadforth.

Bella and I planned to arrive early so we could grab some outfit photos. We took these around the side of the building and they turned out so good! I was super stressed about what to wear (haha) but finally decided on this. Thanks to my mum for altering the pants thanks to Bella for these photos.

When we first arrived, we were taken inside by some lovely ladies from Fashion Bloggers TV and got some photos taken an interview on the black carpet. It was so exciting, the interview might make it onto the show, but we don't know yet. Either way it was still fun! Then we got to wait and see the bloggers come in - it was actually really surreal to see in person after only seeing them on-screen for so long. We saw Zanita, Sara and Kate - and then Zanita came over to talk to us! Haha, I felt like such a fangirl but I was so excited. She is such a lovely person and was so nice encouraging to us.

Then we got taken into the show - It was amazing, I absolutely loved all the looks. Each blogger styled their favourite Spring looks for the upcoming season. It was so interesting to see all the similarities and differences between each bloggers individual style. We even got to see a sneak peak at Fashion Bloggers TV! (it seriously looks so good, anyone with Foxtel wanna have me over?) Above are some of my favourite looks from the show.

After the show we headed down to the Festival Hub (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called) and it was really great. The highlight of the whole event was getting a photo chatting to Kate and Zanita. They were both so incredibly friendly and such genuine people, it was so great to talk to them even for a short amount of time. Sadly I was too slow to get a photo with Sara or Margaret before they headed up to the VIP area, but I was still so happy to see them.

In the Festival Hub we got our make-up done by the Maybelline team, got free make-up from a claw machine (pretty much the best thing ever - like the candy machines but only with make-up inside), got some photos, met some fellow bloggers awesome people and chatted. Oh, and the lemonade there was amaaazing.

As we were about to leave, a crew member let us into the next show because there were spare seats! We were so happy and I feel so lucky to have been able to watch another show. Camilla and Marc were debuting their new collection and their collaboration with St. George Bank. They've designed the best work-wear outfits for all St. George Bank workers, and I know that I would be so happy to wear them everyday. The best part was, they had some of their real workers modeling the clothing, I thought that was so cool.

After the show I headed home and found it hard to fall sleep because I was still buzzing with excitement. MASSIVE thanks to all the team at Fashion Bloggers TV not only for the tickets, but for giving me the most amazing experience. You were all so friendly and made my day absolutely perfect. Also massive thanks to Bella for coming with me, you were so fun to hang out with and so easy to talk to, I wouldn't have wanted to share it with anyone else. Finally, a massive thanks to everyone involved for putting on an amazing show. Especially to the bloggers I saw and spoke to, you've been my inspiration for so long and I am just so happy I could see you in person.
