Far from what may seem to be complicated, it’s actually very easy to do. All you have to do is follow a few simple steps.

The hairstyle begins with making sure hair and bangs look natural: if you normally part your hair to the side, leave it like that. Divide the rest of your hair into two sections, and braid both parts. You can start it at the roots, make a normal one, in four parts…you’ll get a very distinct style with each option. You choose. When you finish braiding, use a hair tie in the same color as your hair to fasten them.

Now, grab one braid and wrap it around your head like a headband. Make sure it’s firm in place, using bobby pins to fasten it in various places.

Repeat the same process with the other braid, making sure it covers the end of the first one, while hiding the end of the second one at the same time. Fasten both braids with bobby pins.

You can place each braid parallel to the other and it will look like you have a double braid, like one of Rebecca Minkoff’s looks; or intertwined to add more volume to the braided headband.

By maintaining your own style with your bangs and the part, the results will look very natural. If you don’t want the messy look, apply a bit of hairspray and you’re all set!
