Sunset Life

Lately, I've been reminded how life is really made up of those small moments in life. Sunset is by far one of my favorite things to witness. While it occurs daily (duh), it's rare I actually make it a point to enjoy its beauty.

Thank you for reading and wishing you all a very happy long weekend ahead!

If I could, I would spend every sunset soaking in all its beauty. It's actually been quite some time since I last get to enjoy my favorite time of the day. Between work and various commitments in life in general, I find myself forgetting to "live" a little.
This set was taken a couple weeks back, when I specifically asked Marcus to help me do a photo set by the beach during sunset. I was all giddy as we were driving towards the beach because the weather was perfect for sunset shoots. I envisioned how the photos will turn out in my head as we walked towards the beach. I saw myself strolling on the sand, staring into the sky as everything around me stopped momentarily.
What I failed to take into consideration, in my moment of excitement, is the time frame for us to actually capture good photos in during sunset was really no time at all. On top of that, Marcus was anxious to capture the golden hour and did not find me trying to enjoy the moment humorous at all (in fact, you can read more on his take at his Flickr account here).
In the end though, we managed to get a good chuckle out of our completely different mind sets walking into the shoot, and managed to still capture mother nature's breathtaking beauty. As you can see from the pictures, regardless of Marcus' protest, I was still able to get a few moments to "stare longingly into the skyline" (victory is sweet!).
~ Thank you very much for stopping by and reading! ~
