Luxury Hair Care

For the most amazing smelling and glossy hair!

On my instagram (farrahgray – if you want to follow) I get asked a lot about what hair products I use and due to the cost of these products, I thought it would be useful to review them so you can make your own judgement on whether you think they are worth it.

I don’t drink, I don’t go clubbing, my passion is beauty, always has been, so I spend, I mean, invest my money in my beauty regime..so here goes.

First of all in my line up of luxury hair care is;

Philip Kingsley’s infamous Elasticizer pre-shampoo hair treatment

Someone once told me this was Audrey Hepburn’s favourite product (not sure how true that is) but regardless of whether it was or not, I LOVE this treatment. You apply it before shampooing on damp hair, it comes with a plastic cap, leave on for 20-30 minutes and then wash it out with your favourite shampoo. This clever product moisturises the hairs cuticles without creating a barrier on it, so hair doesn’t feel heavy. You’ll find hair improves with each use, looking bouncy and smooth.

Philip B Oud Royal Forever Shine Shampoo

I went into my local Space.NK with my sister and asked the sales assistant for my Philip B shampoo, he scanned it and asked for payment…my sister almost fainted and couldn’t understand how I could spend £60 on a shampoo (I also get it from my husband every time I buy one)….well, I will tell you why I justify this cost….it is going to sound odd but my hair gets shinier throughout the days after washing with this shampoo. Usually, I have thick, unruly, wavy hair initially after washing it.

However, thanks to Philip Kingsley’s Elasticizer, it is now bouncy, less unruly but the Forever Shine Shampoo works over hours and even days later. My hair smells like a bottle of Creed perfume and I can go for 4 days without washing it. I have always liked Philip B, since my Space.NK days, I used to use the Peppermint and Avocado shampoo and even the White Truffle shampoo (for coloured hair), although my hair wasn’t coloured (it just SMELT SO GOOD).

If you want shiny hair which smells INCREDIBLE for days, then this is worth every penny!

Finally…

Balmain’s Silk Hair Perfume

I don’t need to use this with the Philip B shampoo, but I use it anyway just as an add on product. The reason I have listed this product in my luxury hair care review is if you want to use a cheaper shampoo, you can use this for amazing smelling, silky hair. Considering I don’t use it that much, I notice it’s slowly disappearing and always after my sisters have stayed over! So, HANDS OFF my hair perfume.

So, what do you think? Would you try any of my favourite hair care products?
